 Formerly known as the [[lb:wod]] (to, //obviously//, create **maximum confusion** with the World of Darkness), for most of its history it was known as the nWoD: the new World of Darkness.\\  Following shenanigans, Paradox renamed it to the Chronicles of Darkness, which was a welcome change...but, as of 2024, it appears that Paradox has effectively canceled the entire gameline.\\  The principle games are itself,((:fn:>As ‘World of Darkness’ or later ‘Chronicles of Darkness’.)) Mage: the Awakening, Werewolf: the Forsaken and [[lb:cod:vampire|Vampire: the Requiem]], but includes a lot more stuff.

   * There isn't an official website, I think, though I do vaguely remember there being something at some point.
   * From a purely theoretical standpoint, I prefer the versatility of CoD over WoD, though WoD's Vampire has better lore...not that that matters, since you can totally just play Masquerade in Requiem.
   * I decided to start actually writing about this stuff because, while //I// find the lore interesting, it seems that the people editing 1d6chan and the White Wolf wiki do //not//. So I was forced to dive in myself to get it done.
