I can probably think of more, but I'll move on.\\ I can probably think of more, but I'll move on.\\
The issue with the fourth film is that Rumpelstiltskin kinda just comes out of nowhere (also, he retcons his own presence in the third film). He's presented as a villain who has a personal connection to Shrek...but he really doesn't. Shrek doesn't know who he is. Comparatively, Charming would have made a lot more sense. The issue with the fourth film is that Rumpelstiltskin kinda just comes out of nowhere (also, he retcons his own presence in the third film).  +I re-watched this after re-watching the other films and...well, it's not as bad as I remembered, but it's still not great. It's probably the worst of all the Shrek films.

+I think it's down to the fact that this film took itself a bit too seriously, whilst also kinda going against Puss’ portrayal in the other films? I mean, Puss was hired as a hit man in the first film he was introduced in, which doesn't really mesh with him being opposed to robbery.\\
+The only way that you can really integrate this film with the rest of the franchise is if you assume Puss in the one telling the story and he's an unreliable narrator.
 +
+I'm also not a fan of Humpty's return to good, which I think was rushed.

 I also re-watched this recently and I still think it's a fantastic film...so I won't say much. For now. Maybe.\\ I also re-watched this recently and I still think it's a fantastic film...so I won't say much. For now. Maybe.\\
