+I've been interested in spiders for a long time: as a child, I owned an Usborne book about spiders, which I read multiple times.((:fn:>This book is still in my family's possession.)) A memory has been unlocked recently, where I remembered that, as a child, I would watch <cite>Charlotte's Web</cite> frequently. This may be the single biggest influence.
+As a child, I was also taught not to be afraid of spiders, as they were friends that ate bugs. Considering I dislike bugs with a passion...yeah, this is a plus.
+When older, but still a child (entering puberty or such) I played the Spider Queen custom campaign in [[lb:warcraft|Warcraft III]], which immediately became one of my favorites. It continues to be one of my favorite custom campaigns, though its age has shown.
+In more recent history, I read [[lb:kumoka|Kumo Desu ga, nani ka]]...which is the best [[lb:isekai|isekai]] I have read.
