 **Tengwar** is a writing system created by [[lb:tolkien]] for his constructed languages. Probably initially for Quenya and Sindarin, but it was also used for English and, since, has been adapted to various other languages.

 Tengwar, on its own, is more like a template for scripts, rather than a script itself. It //does// have sounds assigned to the symbols, but those are more like suggestions. (I'm oversimplifying.)\\
