 The **Naga** are one of the monster races of [[lb:warcraft]]. They were originally **Night Elves**((:fn:>Or //elves// post-retcon.)) that sunk under the sea with their Queen [[lb:wc:azshara|Azshara]]. After sinking, the energies of the **Well of Eternity** transformed them into Naga. Or, if you believe the retcon, they were transformed by the Old God **N'zoth**.((:fn:>I should probably note that I'm not actually sure about whether this is a retcon or not, but this seems to be the case because the Old Gods didn't really exist during //The Frozen Throne//.))

 Most Naga live in the [[lb:wc:Nazjatar Empire]], which is ruled by [[lb:wc:Azshara]]. Though there are at least two other Naga factions of significance. However, it's not super clear to me whether these two other factions are subservient to the Nazjatar or not.
