+I'll repeat a disclaimer from the [[lb:wnotes:vampires]] article: these notes are more of a reference or suggestion and not a set of rules on //how// to write/world-build succubi. Just because succubi don't match the notes here //exactly// doesn't mean they're bad. But that doesn't mean there's not a right/wrong way of doing things.
+
+Assuming that the conditions are the same, then succubi will manifest in the same way.

Until I bother to separate that disclaimer, I recommend just reading the opening text from there and just applying the same ideas here. Until I bother to separate that disclaimer, I recommend just reading the opening text from there and just applying the same ideas here.

Seeing as I think that the [[lb:wnotes:vampires]] article was a success -- from my point of view, it was fun to write and hopefully fun (and useful) to read -- I decided to make this one as well, since I can talk about succubi forever for some unknown reason [Succubi are sexy.]. Seeing as I think that the [[lb:wnotes:vampires]] article was a success -- from my point of view, it was fun to write and hopefully fun (and useful) to read -- I decided to make this one as well, since I can talk about succubi forever for some unknown reason [Succubi are sexy.].

The dream aspect of succubi looks like it's been mostly forgotten. At least that's the way it looks to me when considering most depictions of succubi. I could be catastrophically wrong on this front, considering that as I'm writing this, I already remembered that [[playground:Konosuba]] explicitly shows Succubi as have dream-related powers. The dream aspect of succubi looks like it's been mostly forgotten. +The connection between milk and semen is well-known and well-understood by scholars. How that relates to succubi, however, is another matter entirely.
+
+I had read somewhere (and need to verify it) that you could prevent yourself from a succubus attack by placing some milk next to your bed. The succubus would mistake that for semen and drink it instead. I have no idea how that makes any sense, but it's silly enough that it could be integrated into world-building.\\
+That's the explanation for the quote above. I thought that it might be more efficient to place a note next to the bed instead, pointing the succubus to the fridge. But I realize now that that doesn't make a lot of sense unless you have a glass of milk pre-prepared.
+
+Japan sometimes makes the connection more explicit. There was a manga I read once where succubi could explicitly drink milk instead, and it was just as sustainable for them.((:fn:>Unfortunately that manga ended up just becoming a story about a god-like cow that can eat anything.))
+
+So some connection between milk and succubi wouldn't be //that// strange, though some justification might be needed. Maybe breast milk? I've said too much.
