Arthurian Legend

This is a catch-all to refer to all of the legends, stories and whatnot surrounding King Arthur and his many knights.
Arthurian Legend has a lot of influence from Celtic Mythology,A) which is obvious in some cases and less obvious in others. The Lady of the Lake and Morgan La Fey are both very obvious examples of this influence, with Morgan most likely being a Celtic Goddess.

Personal Note

Like with Greek Mythology, I’ve had an interest in Arthurian Legend since I was young…but not as much as with Greek Mythology. This is probably because I didn’t even get a book on Arthurian Legend, so I was stuck with the Disney filmB) and an audio drama, which I didn’t listen to much.
Though I did later read The Encyclopaedia of Arthurian Legends by Ronan Coghlan. So I know a little more now.

A) I’ll add this later or possibly re-write the article at some point, but I think it’s notable that the Encyclopedia of Arthurian Legends was written by – if I remember correctly – a scholar of Celtic Mythology. It also frequently makes references to Celtic myth/folklore, so it’s obviously believed (in Academia) that Arthurian Legend derives heavily from Celtic Mythology and may, in fact, be a medieval continuation of it.
B) Which, honestly, I don’t like that much.
