 +{{ img:b:r:paycheck.png?460 |Paycheck}} **Paycheck** is a sci-fi movie directed by **John Woo**. That's about all you need to know, so go watch it.\\  I kid. It's based on a story by Philip K. Dick (//Blade Runner//) so you should definitely watch it...unless you're someone like me who recognizes that //Blade Runner// isn't great and is skeptical of anything else.\\  We follow a guy who was tasked with working on a secret corporate project for a massive paycheck. However, to protect corporate secrets, his memory would be erased after the fact. After losing his memory and happily accepting his paycheck...he finds his paycheck bounced...and then people try to kill him.\\

 +===== Review =====

 +Paycheck falls under what I call 'silly action', which are action films that don't take themselves too seriously. Sadly, this type of film seems to have died out and was only really a thing in the 90s/2000s. Other films that I'd place under this label include //Face/Off// (naturally), //The Rock//, //Demolition Man// and //The Punisher//.\\  The plot is pretty solid and it all somewhat fits together. The <wrap spoiler>time stuff also pretty much fits together as far as I remember</wrap>.\\  I'm honestly not sure what else to say. I do think that this is one of the better John Woo films and definitely the best Philip K. Dick adaptation that I've seen.
