 Basically, when you're recounting your own story structure, you should avoid having the word ‘and’ occur between events: ‘Jack fell and Martha was sad’ and, instead, you should have the word therefore: ‘Jack fell therefore Martha was sad’.\\
 This is why I say it's just a reframing of setup/payoff and more of a tool than its own thing. However, it's very useful for getting a feel for setup/payoff...or cause/effect if you prefer. It's also useful when nesting structures.
