This is the News section of the website, it is for⦠news. It includes an RSS feed that you can subscribe to so you donāt have to manually check. Correction, I thought it did, dunno what to do now.
Minor Update
This is just a small update⦠thing.
So I have a lot of articles queued up in the playground. However, I donāt really get to them because I feel thereās a bit too much to write. So, instead, Iāll scale back the size of articles slightly. This will manifest like so:
- Character sections will no longer concern themselves with describing each and every character from the beginning. Instead, I will focus on describing the most important, or notable, characters first. This will likely manifest as āif I donāt care about the character, I wonāt write about them.ā
- Worldbuilding will be limited to the main locations and what I consider to be otherwise notable.
I realised I can just update the articles gradually over time.
Hopefully this means Iāll finish a few more articles.
Smaller Changes
Iāve published two new articles:
They describe a sub-genre and genre respectively. Two more genre articles may come soon.
I updated the list of ligatures a little. I switched from using Arial to using IPAMincho and IPAGothic instead and added a few ligatures/changed some of the ones that were there before. I also removed the ālist of those to be madeā, because I didnāt see much point in it. The article itself is considered ācompleteā in the āit will be constantly in fluxā meaning of ācomplete.ā
Additionally, I added an Original Artwork article, which includes some of the stuff I made.
Finally, I believe I added a Pledge of Public Domain.

Great Teacher Onizuka
Iāve finally gotten around to making an update. Iāve finished writing the Great Teacher Onizuka article, even though I didnāt plan to write it when I wrote up my initial plans. To be clear, the article is finished according to criteria I set for myself⦠it doesnāt mean itāll never change from now on.
Although it wasnāt planned, Iām happy I actually managed to accomplish something. Iāll get to work on the next thing, which I hope to get released⦠soon.
I consider this a great development and I hope I can maintain this creation pace.

Getting back on track to get back on track.
It has been a while again⦠but I believe I am finally getting back on track.
Not much change, as Iāve been doing stuff mostly in the playground, shielded from the eyes of outsiders.
The only significant change was the addition of Issues with Chans. I may try to get back to some other kind of work, but who knows.

I don't know how to name these
I was actually planning to do an update later this week. I set a personal deadline to get to all the to rewrite tagged articles by the end of the week and then explain my progress. However, I ended up finishing all of it today.
Changes
Alongside listing the changes, Iāll explain my reasoning in some cases.
Deleted Articles
- All the Tropes and TVTropes
- This was badly written and I donāt care enough about either to bother rewriting it.
- Cairo Desktop
- Something Iāll be mentioning a lot is my general distancing from software. As part of this, I got rid of the Cairo article (which wasnāt really much to begin with). Iāve just found Iām not as interested in software as I thought I was.
- Cube World Discord Server History
- This one I think is a bit badly written for one, but it also exists on the Bibanon. Why bother maintaining my version?
- Extreme Categorisation
- It served no particular purpose.
- Fandom
- Similar to my distancing from software, I find the rest of the non-Chanverse internet to not be that interesting anymore.
- Fediverse
- Part of my distancing from software. I also happen to not care about the Fediverse at all and simply pointing out how itāll be a failure isnāt that appealing.
- Immersive Explorer
- Distancing from software.
- Kingdom of One City
- This one I just didnāt like. It can just be summarised as āa result of the HREā.
- LiteStep
- Distancing from software. I also donāt use LiteStep and I only like non|step, which I take design inspirations from.
- RetroShare
- While it was part of my original rewrite wave, I didnāt like even the rewrite version. Considering Iām going away from software, I felt it was a good time.
- RSS
- Just bad.
- Shoko
- Software distancing and I just personally didnāt like the article. I use Shoko daily anyway, but I donāt really mind what it is currently.
- Shows
- This index was removed because there are currently no articles for any shows.
- Splicing
- Bad article from the early days.
- Standardised Language
- I donāt really believe in the concept anymore so I scrapped the article.
- Tomorrowland Analysis
- It was a dumb analysis that I came up with randomly while on a walk. Nothing too much to miss here.
- UNIX Philosophy
- Distancing from software and I also donāt really like the philosophy?
- Web Browsers
- Distancing from software. I also happen to only have 3(?) browsers installed. Of those, I use only 1 of them daily, 1 I use if I need to check compatibility and the last one as a bit of a joke.
Mergers and Moves
I didnāt delete all articles, in some cases I just moved them somewhere else (like the playground).
- Aero
- Only one I merged into another article. It currently exists in Windows Ricing
- Anime Artistic Styles
- I moved this to the playground because I like the idea.
- Anon State
- The whole idea needs to be re-written slightly. I also realised a bit later that it actually describes modern democracies a little, which spooked me.
- Community Migration
- I like the idea, but hate the article.
- Czech Fantasy
- This article was never finished. Hopefully I can finish it one day.
- Despair
- My philosophical views have changed so drastically since I wrote this that it needs to be re-visited.
- FoxTalk
- I moved this to my private wiki to be worked on with my other story ideas.
- Guide to Danganronpa
- I didnāt like the article.
- Media Rating
- I find it useful myself, although I donāt think others will.
- Megacorporations
- Iām thinking of merging it into the governments article (once itās finished).
- Osu
- There wasnāt much to it. So despite having a banner itās out.
Rewritten
Besides Acronyms and Nakige the rest are just skeletons to be expanded upon.
Independent Reviews
I removed quite a few of these (because I didnāt like them) and they may or may not return at some point. Iām not gonna bother listing them.
Plans
Iām thinking of completely redoing the indexes for media. I think theyāre fine, but could be better; considering I link to them near-constantly. Iām not sure how yet so Iāll leave that for later.
The start for the LoreBook will also change to reflect the distancing from software. The philosophy section (which I previously removed and merged into the misc. section) will be reinstated as the āSatoriā section. I picked āSatoriā because wiktionary claims itās a Japanese approximation(?) of āLove of Wisdomā which is the meaning I originally intended from āPhilosophy.ā Alongside that, the āInternetā section is getting removed entirely.
Despite my distancing from Software, I will probably create a āRecommended Softwareā article, similar to the InstallGentoo ones but me-flavoured.
The Chanverse stuff was dumped into the āMiscā section. Since the rest would have looked very imbalanced without it.
The number of articles looks to have dropped from 81 to 52. So⦠at least something?
