Tantacrul is an Irish YouTuber, composer and professional designer.

His videos have the general theme of being music-related, though he goes all over the place.

I have mixed feelings on Tantacrul. On the one hand, I can respect his experience. On the other, he’s kinda stupid at times.

Occasionally he just says something without a hint of sarcasm that makes me go “…seriously?”.

Something else that’s notable is that his political/philosophical views are painfully obvious. He leans on SocJus and is definitely some kind of post-modernist. He references their ideas, specific books and whatnot too often for that not to be the case.
Though it’s super ironic that an obviously professional, corporate designer like him references these things. Then again, it’s not ironic at all.

Let’s move on from that though, onto design. I’m something of a designer myself (albeit an amateur one) so this is an aspect of his channel that I’m interested in. It’s also an upside: he’s a professional designer, so he has a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
However, there’s one big caveat: he’s all-in on the current design trends. That means minimalism, big controls, wasting space, etc.
