Queen Azshara (E7:Azhara) is the Queen of the Naga and basically their demigod.
I like the sound of her name (same with Alexstrasza). When younger, I liked repeating it and I’d put it into my little stories occasionally.^A)
I actually really like her current design, as it’s pretty damn cool looking (also hot (also not a scalie)).

Something that’s interesting to note about Azshara is that she’s never explicitly stated to be a tyrant. She is mean to non-elves, but appears to have never treated her own people poorly. In fact, her accepting N’zoth’s pact^B) could be interpreted selflessly (saving her people) rather than selfishly (her gaining more power). Even after becoming a Naga, she doesn’t appear to be a tyrannical ruler: hell, the Naga revere her as their goddess.
Of course, it’s a bit ambiguous as to how the Naga government and Empire actually work…though it is interesting that she isn’t considered a tyrant.
