Twister is a film about a group of scientists who are crazy enough to chase tornadoes for SCIENCE!!! The protagonist is a Bill Paxton who decides that chasing tornadoes isn’t worth it anymore and, instead, he wishes to become a weatherman. Also, he’s divorcing his wife and wants to marry his therapist.^A)

The film felt like it was stretched out to me, as the characters end up using Dorothy 3 times. The time between each of those just felt longer than necessary.

The special effects are alright except for a few exceptions…like with the cow.

Twisters is the completely unexpected sequel that…I think I prefer over the original. It does have the issues that many modern films have…regarding lighting, camera work and color (all technical).
But Twisters prove that they understand their audience by straight up killing the insufferable ‘modern cast’ at the start of the film. That honestly came as a shock to me, but a welcome shock because the rest of the film is pretty great.

The soundtrack is quite nice as well…so nice I bought it.

My one issue with the story is that it moved in a very predictable direction…for once, I thought it would be interesting to see the corporate guys being the good guys. But at least the real good guys are crazy cowboys who shoot fireworks into the middle of a tornado.
