AniList is an anime and manga tracking website and probably the biggest MyAnimeList competitor.
I’ve been using it as my primary tracker for…a long time. Maybe since 2019.

However, this isn’t due to me thinking it’s the best. It was pretty much just because the application I primarily used to track anime on my desktop – Taiga – could only be used with AniList and Kitsu when I started using it. MAL support has since returned, but by then I had been using AniList primarily for a long time.

I actually think the interface is pretty clunky and annoying to navigate. If MAL is the old-fashioned but functional one, then AniList is the trendy and kinda annoying one.
Like, sure, it looks ‘modern’ but that just makes me dislike using it more. Really, if it wasn’t for Taiga, I’d probably have switched back over to MAL.

Also, considering that AniList, MAL and Kitsu all have suspiciously similar datasets…yeah, I’ve always perceived them as a set of three different front-ends for the exact same data.
